Susccess Stories: Evelio

FUND IT FORWARD received this letter from his mom:

My name is Bethany . I have a son, Evelio, who will be 7 in September. He has Autism along with Epilepsy, Intellectual Disability, and Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder. He is nonverbal and very low-functioning. Like many children with Autism, he has a tendency to wander. He has gotten out of the house during the day and at night. Thankfully, he has been found quickly each time so far. He is very fast and has no sense of danger. He has run into a busy street without hesitation before. He also is attracted to bodies of water and has a one-track mind, so when he is heading toward something, he tends to block everything out. I am terrified of him getting out, especially at night, and I not realizing it until it's too late. He needs an enclosure for his bed, like a Safety Sleeper so that we could both rest a little easier. It would give him his own personal space and give me peace of mind knowing that he cannot get out and wander away where he would be in serious danger.
